She was born in Henry County, on January 13, 1927, to the late James Samuel Garrett and Rosa Hundley Garrett.
She was a sewing machine mechanic and had worked for Tultex corporation for more than 25 years. She was a member of Beckham United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Pearl Garrett Harris, and sisters, Madeline G. Stegall and Clara Garrett Eggleston; three brothers, Clyde M. Garrett, Leonard S. Garrett and Herman L. Garrett; four nieces and four nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 14, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Anne Sisson officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
