Edward Schaffner was born 31 July, 1882, to Jacob and "Maria" (Mary) (Ehler) Schaffner in the family home at 1900 9th street in St Louis, Missouri. Apparently a midwife was used. There is no doctor listed as attending the birth, but rather, a Mrs. Schwarz.
Sadly, little Edward died the following year. His death was 28 March 1883. His death certificate was issued the following day. Cause of death was croup. Edward Schaffner died in the family home at 1900 9th Street.
The death listing states he was buried in Bethlehem Cemetery. This cemetery was later moved although not all of the bodies were moved. Am currently trying to find out more information for him. For now this is the information we have.
