Evelyn (Steiner) Ripper, 88, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014, at her home.
Evelyn was born October 19, 1925, in Amity, Mo., to Ernest and Jennie (Hlavac) Steiner. In 1947, she married Richard M. Ripper. She was a member of McCarthy Baptist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening and needlework.
Mrs. Ripper was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters; and four brothers.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon K. (Marvin) Atkins, St. Joseph; five step-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren; numerous step-great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wayne (Shirley) Steiner, St. Joseph; Bill Steiner, Carson, Calif.; and Franklin (Lois) Steiner, Forsythe, Mo.; best friend, Audrey Hulser; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ripper has been cremated under the direction of the Heaton-Bowman-Smith and Sidenfaden Chapel.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
