Edwin William Sailer, 85, of Ravenswood, Jackson County, West Virginia, formerly of St. Helen, Oregon, went home to be with Jesus on April 25, 2007, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, West Virginia, following an extended illness.

He was born February 28, 1922, in Hazen, North Dakota, a son of the late Adam and Pauline Sailer.

He was formerly an oiler in the construction industry and retired from St. Helens Junior High School as a custodian. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Ravenswood. He was a wonderful husband and father.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy L. (Shinn) Sailer, his son Killian Sailer of Oregon, brothers Bernard Sailer of Pick City, North Dakota, and Arthur Sailer of Milton Freewater, Oregon, sister Helen (Sailer) Ziemann of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and one grandson, Kellian Sailer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be on Friday, April 27, 2007, 11:00 a.m., at Cadto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Rev. Sherrie L. Hofmann officiating. Burial will follow in Ankrum Cemetery, Evergreen Hills Community, Cottageville, West Virginia.
