William Sailer, age 57 years, of Pick City, North Dakota, died at the Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Thursday, July 1, 1976. He had been hospitalized previously at the Veterans Hospital in Minot, North Dakota and in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for the past two weeks.

He was born February 4, 1919, north of Hazen, North Dakota, to Mr. and Mrs. Adam (Pauline) Sailer.
He attended Mercer County schools and grew up north of Hazen, North Dakota.

He is survived by six brothers, Tobias, Pick City, North Dakota; Albert, Stanton, North Dakota; Eldor, Rock Springs, Wyoming; Edwin, St. Helens, Oregon; Bernard, Pick City, North Dakota; and Arthur, Milton-Freewater, Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Norman (Bertha) Adams, Warren, Oregon, and Mrs. Harold (Helen) Ziemann, Cheyenne, Wyoming.

His parents, one brother and two sisters preceded him.
He entered the U.S. Army in 1942 and served overseas in the Philippines. He was discharged in 1946.
He farmed for a time north of Hazen. He had made his home in Pick City since 1965.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 6, at 1:30 p.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church in Hazen, with Rev. Oliver Dewald officiating. Burial was at the Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Hazen.

Pallbearers were: Dallas, Stanley, Lee Roy, Perry, James and Glen Sailer.
