Memorial services for Lena G. Pruette, will be at 2:oo PM on Wednesday, Oct 31, 2007, at Maranatha Baptist Church, 1906 Myall, Ardmore, OK. Graveside rites will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, Nov 2, at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Carlsbad, NM with Pastor Bob Bacon officiating. Lena, 87, died in the early hours on Sunday, Oct 28, 2007, of complications from pneumonia. She was born in the small town of Saint Jo, Texas on Jan 8, 1920 to Nellie and Louis P. Grigsby. She enjoyed a rich family life with nine siblings, spending her childhood days on the family farm 13 miles east of Marlow, OK.

Lena is survived by her son, Steven C. Pruette and wife Ingrid of Saline Michigan; a brother William "Bill" Grigsby and wife Beverly of Duncan, OK; a sister Mona Coursey of Shoreline, WA; grandchildren, Christopher Pruette and wife Jennifer of Saline, Michigan and Jason Pruette and wife, Cathy of San Francisco; two great grandchildren, India Grace Pruette, and Quinn Nicholas Pruette of Saline; her niece Mary Hayes and husband, Doug, long time residents of Ardmore had been an enormous help to Lena in managing her affairs and keeping her in touch with many loved ones in her later years.

Lena was prceded in death by her parents, Nellie and Louis Grigsby; step mother, Ester Bellows Grigbsy; three sisters, Bernice Grigsby Bailey, Irene Grigsby Wilkinson Prescott and Edith Hatch Cregger; four brothers, Eugene, Fielding Sr, Louis P., Jr and John Grigsby.
