Shambaugh - Cromer

A beautiful wedding was solemnized in the Methodist Episcopal church (sic), Dillsburg, Sunday afternoon when Miss Thelma Elizabeth Cromer, and Hugh J. Shambaugh were united in marriage, by the groom's pastor, the Rev. J. K. Gunder. The ring ceremony was used. The best man was Wilbert Cromer, brother of the bride, and maid of honor, Miss Alice Davis. The bride's dress was of royal blue satin crepe carrying a bouquet of white chrysanthemums. The maid of honor's dress was of dark blue crepe and bouquet of pink chrysanthemums. The bride is a daughter of Mr. Mrs. George Cromer, of Carlisle R. D. The bridegroom is a son of Charles Peffer, Dillsburg R. D., proprietor of the H. J. Shambaugh Hardware store, Dillsburg. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, for the immediate family, after which the couple left on a wedding trip to Philadelphia and other points. The large auditorium of the church was filled by those to witness the ceremony.
