SPANISH FORK – J. Will Lewis, 67, lifelong resident of Spanish Fork where he was well known for his activities as a farmer and livestock grower, died Monday at 10 a.m. in a Provo hospital after a long illness.

He was employed on the Spanish Fork police force at the time he became ill.

Born in Spanish Fork, Dec. 1, 1878, he was a son of John S. and Mary Jane Harris Lewis, early pioneers. He was educated in the schools of Spanish Fork and engaged in livestock growing and ranching at an early age.

He married Maud Hicks in Provo, Dec. 22, 1904.

He is survived by his widow; three sons and a daughter, Robert and Bernell Lewis of Kanab; J. Will Lewis, Jr., Spanish Fork; Mrs. Emma Elmer, Magna; six grandchildren; five brothers, Preston, Leslie and Ezra Lewis all of Spanish Fork; Brigham; Lewis, Sacramento, Calif., and Ralph Lewis, Provo.
