Death of Little Child
Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Will Lewis Saturday afternoon over the remains of their three-years old son, Wendell, who died on Thursday last of scarlet fever. Owing to the nature of the disease it was necessary to hold the services outside in a driving rainstrom. August Swenson had charge of the services, and John Moore and Mr. Swenson were the only speakers. The floral tributes were beautiful.
The child's mother swooned at the time of his death and when she came to seemed to have lost her mind. Hher reason had not returned at the time of the funeral and during the services and at the cemetery she called the boy's name and spoke incoherently about him.
Mrs. Lewis' health has improved in the last few days and her mind seems to be as strong as ever.
