Mrs. Mary Lloyd Dies At Roscoe
ROSCOE, March 13. - Mrs. Mary A. Lloyd died at her home Sunday night at 6 o'clock, following two weeks illness of flumonia.
Mary Anna Miller was born at Newbury, Vermont, Dec. 20, 1833 and was the oldest in a family of 12 children. All have died except Mrs. J.W. Robinson of Beloit, Mrs. Brittan Jewett of Harrison, two brothers, E.G. Miller of Stevens, Wis., and Roger Miller of Salina, Kan. Another sister was Mrs. Reckhow of Rockford, who died last year.
Mrs. Lloyd was married to George Yoder at Rockton in 1852 and four children were born to them, two died in infancy and the daughter, Mrs. Margaret Cronkrite, died two years ago in August at Denver, Colo.
She is survived by a son, E.F. Yoder of Freeport, and her two sisters and two brothers, nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Lloyd lived in Freeport until after the death of her husband, which occurred when the children were young, then she came to this vicinity and was married to William Lloyd in Beloit. One son was born to them, Irving Lloyd, who died in Houston, Tex. several years ago.
Roscoe and vicinity has been her home for a number of years. She was a member of the Congregational church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at the Congregational church Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Freeport cemetery by the side of her first husband.
