A.B. Miller Dies At Home Near Shirland
Alexander B. Miller died at his residence three and a half miles north of Shirland, at 7:30 o'clock Saturday evening. He was born April 4, 1836 in Ryegate, Vt. Came to Illinois in 1844. He married Miss Jane Rochester in 1861 and settled in Shirland township. Has lived in his present home forty-eight years.
He is survived by five children, Mrs. Clara Bennett, Mrs. Jennie McMakin, Edward Miller of Beloit, Henry Miller of Shannon, and William, who operates the home farm. Mr. Miller also leaves five sisters, Mrs. Margaret Reckhow of Rockford; Mrs. Mary Lloyd of Roscoe; Mrs. Fidelia Harley, of Rockton; Mrs. Henrietta Robinson, of Beloit, and Mrs. Helen Jewett, of Harrison, and two brothers, Roger Miller, of Michigan, and Edmund Miller, of Owen.
