Ronald (Benny) Gene Barron Sr., age 47, of Moberly, died at his home Tuesday morning. He wsa born in Higbee, MO March 27, 1941 to Floyd Barron and Mary Hunt Barron. He had woked for the City of Moberly, served in the U.S.Navy, and was a member of the Gospel Center Church of Macon, MO. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Ron and Christy Barron Jr. of Moberly, James Barron, Moberly and Glenda Barron of Moberly. Other children include Jay Gallup, California, Miss and Kathy Gallup of Moberly, and stepdaughter Linda Kindlestarger, Frederickstown, MO.

Seven surviving brothers include Gerald Wayne, Muriel, and Ralph Barron all of Moberly, Vernis Barron of Madison, Alfred Ray Barron of Macon, Frank Barron of St. Louis, and Virgil Barron of Chicago, IL.

Sisters include, Wilma Ransdell, and Lula Belle Huntsman of Moberly, Viola Ware of Higbee, Gladys Johnston of Fayette, Mabel Riley of Centralia, and Lorene White of Shelbina, MO.

Grandchildren include Ronnie and Jessica Barron, and four others.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m.at Million-Taylor-Patton Funeral home of Moberly with Rev. Lloyd Parrett officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 - 8 Thursday evening.
