❦ Early Life: Bill was born April 3, 1929, in Provo, Utah, to Andrew Marinus and Florence Naillon Christensen. He and his twin brother, Richard "Dick" Byron Christensen, were welcomed by six brothers and sisters. He attended Provo City schools.
❦ Life's Work | Service | Interests: Bill was a journeyman painter, achieving the skill as a master painter. He became a skilled painter and learned hard work in the trade from his father, Andrew, who had been a painting contractor in Provo. He retired from the local Painter's Union with 42 years of service. On August 21, 1950, Bill married Georgia LaRae Dade. Their marriage was solemnized in the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple on October 29, 1998. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family, especially at Strawberry Reservoir. He spent his last five years fixing and building birdhouses that he gave to family and friends. Bill and Georgia got to travel to Nauvoo, Illinois; attending the temple and seeing church sites was a highlight he talked about often. Bill could be seen walking or driving his tractor and visiting with neighbors. He and his family loved to go camping, hunting and fishing because it was always an adventure. William Garn "Bill" Christensen passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2005, surrounded by his wife and family. He was 76.
❦ Survived By: His wife, Georgia; his four children: Gary Allen (Cindy) Christensen, Pamela (Gary) Thomas, Jill (Tim) Erekson, Karen (Steve) Floyd; his sister, Gloria (Ralph) Kuhni; his twin brother, Richard "Dick" (Betty Jo) Christensen; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
❦ Preceded In Death By: His parents; one son, Randy Christensen; one granddaughter, Ashlie Christensen; three sisters: Fawn Ferguson, Mary Duckett Anhder, Norda Simkins; two brothers, Max and Jack Christensen.
