Gloria Christensen Kuhni
1926 - 2011

Father: Andrew Marinus Christensen
Mother: Florence Naillon Christensen
Spouse: Ralph John Kuhni
Early Life: Gloria was born on March 27, 1926, in Provo, Utah, to Andrew Marinus Christensen and Florence Naillon Christensen; born sixth of eight children.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: On June 8, 1944, Gloria married Ralph John Kuhni for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in the Provo area most of their married life; together they raised four children. They were married a remarkable sixty-seven years and must have had a powerful bond, because her dear husband passed away only eight days before she did. It is a comfort to know that their earthly separation was only for a short time. Gloria was a great example of living life to the fullest. She shared her talents through a variety of worthy causes, from church service and civic endeavors to making banana bread, knitting a baby shawl for a new grandchild or working in the garden. She had a keen mind and enjoyed learning. To her, food was love, so if you would visit, she always made sure you were welcomed with something to eat or drink. Gloria has always been her loved ones' greatest supporter, teacher, confidant and friend. She expressed her gratitude and testimony often and has always been an active, faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Devoted and beloved mother, Gloria Christensen Kuhni passed away peacefully on July 23, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was 85.
Survived By: Her children: Claudia Williams, Rosemary (Russell) Frederico, Candace Powers and Hans (Deanne) Kuhni; one brother, Richard Christensen; thirteen grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren.
