Services Were Tuesday for Albin M. Oftedahl

Former rural Cameron resident Albin M. Oftedahl, 96, of Solway, Minn., died June 29 at North Country Nursing and Rehabilitation Center there.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Maranatha Evangelical Free Church in Rice Lake. Rev. Rollin Wilson and Rev. Gaylen Olson officiated, and interment followed in Wayside Cemetery in Barron.

Mr. Oftedahl was born March 14, 1892 in Coon Valley, northwest of Viroqua, Wisconsin. He later moved to Dawson, Minn. He was a veteran of WW I, and after the war, worked as a logger at Man Mountains in New Hampshire. He also worked several years as a carpenter and was employed as a milkman for 12 years in New Jersey. On June 25, 1926, he married Hulda Larson at Montclair, New Jersey. She died in 1975. He later operated a dairy farm near Cameron with his son for 34 years. Albin was a deeply committed Christian, faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Mr. Oftedahl is survived by one son, Stanley and his wife, Edith, of Solway, Minnesota; three grandchildren; one sister, Doris Cook of Leesburg, Florida, and three brothers, Melford and Kenneth of Rice Lake and Lawrence of Cottage Grove.
