Kenneth F. Oftedahl, age 97, of Rice Lake, WI died Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Knapp Haven Nursing Home in Chetek, WI.

He was born on September 4, 1916 in the Township of Long Lake, WI. Kenneth graduated from the Rice Lake High School in 1933. He dairy farmed with his family in Mikana, Cameron and Rice Lake until 1960. Kenneth was married to Dorine Holmstrom on October 3, 1945 at the Rice Lake Gospel Tabernacle. Kenneth had a milk route and worked at Birchwood Manufacturing and Mastercraft Industries in Rice Lake. He worked for Jerome's Turkey Farms in Barron retiring in 1982 and later worked for Social Services. Kenneth enjoyed traveling and a highlight was a trip to Norway. He was a longtime member of the Rice Lake Assembly of God Church, and was a member of the Sons of Norway and the Barron County Historical Society. In September 2009 he moved to Maplecroft Retirement Community and in 2012 to Monroe Manor in Barron. Kenneth enjoyed many activities including; woodworking, gardening, playing Skip-bo, crossword puzzles, reading and playing the harmonica.

Kenneth Oftedahl is survived by 5 sons, Robert (Susan) Oftedahl of Barron, WI, Larry (Peggy) Oftedahl of Barron, WI, Richard (Marlene Prill) Oftedahl of Cameron, WI, Marv (Brenda) Oftedahl of Barron, WI and Dan (Shellie) Oftedahl of Cameron, WI; 4 daughters, Joanne Oftedahl of Cebu City, Philippines, Sharon (Tom) Dammer of Rice Lake, WI, Judy (Donald) Jones of Bloomington, MN and Ruth (Roger) Erickson of Barron, WI; 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorine Oftedahl in 2008; parents, 9 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Assembly of God in Rice Lake, WI, with Rev. Alan Klasi officiating, and interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 PM Tuesday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and for one hour prior to the service at the Church.
