Lois C. Bogar, 83, of Pikeville, died Thursday, August 29, 2013, at the Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born on March 4, 1930, at Millard, in Pike County, the daughter of the late Riley Coleman Sr., and Carrie Adkins Coleman.
She retired from being a school teacher after 41 years. She taught at the Frozen Grade School, Narrow Branch Grade School, Hardy Grade School, Lookout Grade School and Millard Elementary. She was a member of the Faith First Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis Coleman and Gary Coleman and four sisters, Hula Looney, Mary Smith, Jeleanor Stewart and Nellie Phillips.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Sunday, September 1, 2013, at J.W. Call and Son Funeral Home, with Nelson Damron and Charles Justice officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
