Gary Douglas Coleman Sr., 68, of Camden, Tenn., died Wednesday, March 20, 2013.
He was born in Pikeville, March 18, 1945, the son of the late Riley and Carrie A. Coleman, formerly of Millard.
He was a member of Cowell's Chapel Methodist Church, Camden, Tenn.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Coleman; and four sisters, Nellie Phillips, Jealanor Stewart, Hula Looney and Mary Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Bird Coleman; one son, Gary D. Coleman Jr.; four daughters, Tammy Inman, Amy Coleman, Davina Fargo (Keith) and Heather Daniels (Jacob); two brothers, Riley Coleman Jr. (Lois Ann) and Lomar Coleman (Zelda); three sisters, Lois Bogar, Martha Ward and Wanda Mays; and 11 grandchildren, Jordan, Blake, Riley, Christian, Sydney, Tyler, Dawson, Jacob, Dominick, Cordell and Jasmine.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23, in the Oakdale Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Appleton officiating. Burial followed in the Cowell's Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements were under direction of Oakdale Funeral Home of Camden.
