It is with much sadness that I try to write an obituary of my dear husband, Riley A. Coleman. He was born Sept. 29, 1897; deceased Sept. 26, 1967. He was the son of David and Mary T. Coleman. He united with the Louisa Primitive Baptist Church and was baptized Sept. 14, 1958. He always filled his seat each church time until he became too sick to attend.
He left 11 children: 7 girls, Vernelia C. Phillips, Jeleanor C. Stewart, Hula C. Looney, Lois C. Bogar, Martha C. Ward, Mary C. Smith, and Wanda C. Mays. Four sons: Riley Jr., Dennis, Lomar, and Gary and 15 grandchildren. He has two brothers: Anthony and George Coleman; two sisters, Ella C. Daniels and Lucy C. Goff.
Written by his wife,
Carrie Coleman
