Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Elizabeth Farr, 74, will be held today, Thursday at 2 o'clock at the Perryman Chapel. rev. Chas F. Kemp will officiate at the services. Mrs. Farr, who has suffered with a heart ailment for the east four years, passed away at 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16 at the family home 701 Market Street.
Serving as pall bearers will be Herbert Lambertz, Rhea Yates, Louis Wilson, Glen Briggs, Albert Munson, and Arthur Munson. Music will be by Mrs. Orrin Carmichael, soloist with Mrs. Dale Petty at the organ. Caring for the flowers will be Mrs. Prentiss Hite. Mrs. Vernon Lawson and Mrs. Robert McBath. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Laura Elizabeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Cornelison was born December 18, 1873 near Lorimore, where she lived until moving to Red Oak, in 1908. She was married to Alfred Farr, who passed away in Red Oak, April 30, 1931. She was a house wife and a member of the Christian Church. She is survived by two sons, a daughter, and a granddaughter. The sons are Dale and Virgil Farr of Red Oak. The daughter is Mrs. Arthur Smithey resides in Des Moines and the Granddaughter is Miss Betty Farr lives in Glenwood. Other survivors include two brother, Charles and Arthur Cornelison of Red Oak, two sisters, Mrs. John Gonseth, Murray, Iowa and Mrs. Sarah Hedi, who resides in Oklahoma City. One son, Clarence died in 1918.
