Services for Charles Henry Cornelison, 78, Montgomery County farmer for many years and a Red Oak resident since 1939, were held at the Sellergren Funeral Home today. He died her of a cerebral hemorrhage Thursday, January 26, 1950 at the hoe of his daughter, Bernice Edwards.
Rev. Carl B. Robison officiated. Music was by Mrs. Ray Cozad, accompanist and Mrs. Lawrence Buyer and Martin Olson, vocalist. Serving on the floral committee were Mrs. Claedus Clark, Mrs. Peter Milgrove, and Mrs. Vernon Lawson. Bearers were Lloyd Knight, Lawrence Manly, Herman Hurst, Ted Buffon, Danny Buffon, and Floyd Buffon. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Born May 3, 1871 in Madison County, Iowa, he was the son of John J. and Betty E. Berry Cornelison. He married Mary Luella Ingraham in Atlantic, December 17, 1895. She died in Red Oak in 1934.
A member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Evangelical United Brethren Church, he is survived by a son, Guy of Wales, a daughter, Bernice Edwards Red Oak, one brother Arthur of Red Oak and two sisters, Mrs. John Gonseth of Murray and Mrs. Sarah Heddy, living in Oklahoma.
