Death of Mrs. Dulcie Shepherd
Mrs. Dulcie Shepherd, a life long resident of Peru, died Sunday night, August 6th, at the Thee Beardsley home after an extended illness. Mrs. Shepherd, was 54 years of age, had been ill for the past year, but had only been compelled to be in bed for the past six weeks.
Her funeral services were held at the Peru church, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, and burial was made in the Barney cemetery.
Mrs. Shepherd was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Cornelison, and was born in this county, November 13, 1876. She has since made this county her home, and on August 13, 1929 she was married to Lute Shepherd.
Two sisters, Mrs. Clara Beardsley, and Mrs. Maude Carter, preceded her in death. She leaves four sisters, Miss Tishie Cornelison of Winterset, Mrs. Sarah Headly of Crowder, Oklahoma, Laura Farr of Red Oak, Mary Searl, Lorimor, Rosa Gonseth, Murray and two brothers, Arthur and Charles Cornelison, both of Red Oak.
