Mr. Hayes was born in Owosso and lived here until about eight years ago when he entered the Ministry. He preached at Flint and Saginaw for a time and gave up this work. He had since been employed at a Saginaw factory.
Louis was first married to Lillian H. Wilkie on March 25, 1915. They had one son Robert Hayes on September 28, 1915.
Mrs. Wilkie-Hayes died on October 3, 1918 a few days after the birth of their son.
Mr. Hayes married a second time to Dorothy E Ostrander on November 21, 1919. Together they parented three children; Margaret A. Hayes 1920, Louis M. Hayes 1921, and George E. Hayes 1923.
Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery.
