Emelia Mercier Gingras was the daughter of David Mercier and Armande/Hermine Anne Allard. Emelia was the wife of Alfred (Fred) Gingras. She is buried with her daughter Angeline Bosley, and her son Wilfred and his wife Gloria.

Emelia M Gingras, 99 of Burlington Convalescent Center died on Sunday Nov 29, 1987 at the Convalescent Center.

She was born in St Ann, Quebec, on Mar 8, 1888, the daughter of David and Armande (Allard) Mercier.

Mrs Gingras was a member of St Joseph Parish. She was the widow of Alfred Gingras, who predeceased her in 1939.

She is survived by one daughter Anna Bean of Burlington; four sons, Wilfred of Sterling, Conn., Robert of Georgia Vt, John of South Burlington, and James of Burlington; 36 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 13 great great grand children, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church with interment to follow in New Mt Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Home, 85 N Winooksi Ave, today from 2-4 and 7-9. Arrangement by Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Directors.
