David was living in Sainte-Anne-du-Sault, Quebec Canada when the 1901 census was taken, now widowed and was shown to be a Farmer, he has his six children: Eugenie, Delima, Hermenilia (aka Emelia), Anna, Lucien (aka Joseph or Bob or Louis) , Amedee (aka Meddie).
David and his 6 children came to Vermont probably soon after the 1901 census was taken in Canada and before 1905 when daughter Rose married in Burlington.
In 1910 he was residing on 5 Conger Ave in Burlington (with his married daughter Emelia Gingras,her husband Alfred and their daughter Angeline) Also in household are David's other children: Anna, Joseph and Meddie. David was a cotton picker in a cotton mill. (Married daughter Eugenie-Augustine and her husband Leon Masse are residing at 6 Conger Ave (next door).
David died in Burlington July 14, 1944 and was buried on July 17th in New Mt Calvary Cemetery Burlington, Vermont.

David Mercier married Hermine Allard Sept 27 1881 St Valiere Quebec. He was the son of David Mercier and Zoe Marchand, his wife Hermine Allard Mercier died while still in Canada and she is buried there.
