She grew up in Ness County and attended Ness City school and later attended Dodge city Senior High School. During World War II, she lived in Cimarron with his parents and when her husband returned after the war, they lived in Cimarron and later moved to Dodge City.
Survivors are son, Bob Dome(Pat); four daughters, Joan Blankman(David), Jane Creamer(Mike), Margie German and Mario Gomez and Sharon Lohrenz and Burk Cummins all of Dodge City; one brother, Eddie Hertel of Dodge city and two sisters, Agnes Beckerdite of Dodge City and Mary Dinkel of Victoria; her companion, Glen Mauch; 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Alfred,Joe,Edmond and Wilfred Hertel; one sister, Martina Burkhart; two sons, James and Billy Dome; one grandson, Jason Creamer.
