Claude Talmadge Selby, Sr., 84, Friendsville, died on Friday, November 9, 2012, at his residence.

Born Nov. 25, 1927, in Selbysport, he was the son of the late Ernest and Elizabeth (Humberson) Selby. He was also preceded in death by four sons, Edward, Roger, Kevin, and Jackie Lee, and one daughter, Phyllis Ann.

Mr. Selby was an erector with Bethlehem Steel, Sparrows Point. He was a U.S. Army Corps veteran and a member of the Rod & Gun Hunting Club, Baltimore, and a former member of the Friendsville VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Ina Jean (Savage) Selby, four sons; one daughter; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Friends were received at Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville. Services were held at Bradley-Ashton Funeral Home, Dundalk. Interment in Bel Air Memorial Gardens. (Courtesy of Ronn E Friend)
