Dorothy E. Martin, 71, of Waverly died Sunday morning, June 1, 1986, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
She was born Sept. 29, 1914, in Sangamon County near Waverly, a daughter of Jesse and Mae Coons Davenport. She married Tony H. Martin Sept. 17, 1932 in Jacksonville. He preceded her in death March 15, 1981.
She is survived by two daughters, Joann Loveday of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Lynn Graham of Newport Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Lucille Davenport and Mrs. John (Ruth) Noble, both of Waverly; one granddaughter, Kathy Downing; and two great-grandsons, Christopher and Matthew Downing; three nieces; three nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by a brother John Davenport, of Yountville, California and was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Davenport.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Services were held Tuesday at the Neece Funeral Home in Waverly. Interment was in Waverly East Cemetery.
