Iona Fishback, 75, of Springfield died at 9:32 p.m. Thursday at St. John's hospital.
She was born Aug. 8, 1912, in Morgan County, the daughter of Jud and Rose Eldridge Baggerly. She married Chester "Chick" Fishback in 1961 in Taylorville and he died in 1986. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one sister and three brothers. Mrs. Fishback had resided in Springfield since 1959.
Surviving are one son, Thomas Stanberry of Springfield; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Edith) Gilman and Iva Tuttle, both of Springfield, and Mrs. Bein (Delores) Sator of Dawson; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Garrison of Burlington, Iowa, and Mrs. Ella Berndt of Waverly; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Vancil Memorial Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Steven J. Mall officiating. Burial will be in Waverly East cemetery.
