MARGARET M. BITTENBENDER - A funeral for Margaret M. Bittenbender, 73, Ottawa, RFD 3, who died Sunday, Dec. 17, 1989, at Ransom Memorial Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dengel and Son Mortuary with Ted Riddenbur officiating. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery. Born May 30, 1916, at Independence, she married Joe Bittenbender Oct. 1, 1951, at Bartlesville, Okla. He survives. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a homemaker. She was a member of First Assembly of God, Pomona. Besides her husband, of the home, survivors include a daughter, Ruby Howland, Raytown, Mo.; a brother, William E. Lacy, Tipton, Ind.; a sister, Alta McCain, 1701 S. Main; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Friends may all from noon Tuesday until the service hour at Dengel and Son Mortuary, where the family will meet with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. - The Ottawa Herald, Ottawa, Kansas, December 18, 1989, page 3, columns 1 and 2.
