William E. Lacy, 83, 530 N. Mulberry, longtime Ottawa resident, died at this home yesterday at 12:30 p.m. He was a retired contractor and had lived in Ottawa 45 years, moving from Independence. He was born Aug. 8, 1875 in Georgia, son of Elliott and Margaret Lacy. He married Cora Goodwin Jan. 19, 1906, in Independence. Surviving are the widow, three daughters, Mrs. Joe Bittenbender, Ponoma; Mrs. Ralph Ekis, Ottawa; and Mrs. Lonnie McCain, Campbellville, Ky.; two sons, Glen C. Hammond, Ind.; and William, Tipton, Ind.; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at McVey-Dengel Mortuary.
