Mrs. Roseborough Dead - Mother Follows Baby In Death - Funeral Tomorrow
Mrs. Beatrice Roseborough, wife of Walter Roseborough of 701 East Seventh street, died yesterday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock at Ransom Memorial hospital. She had been ill a week, following the birth and death of a baby daughter October 25. Her death resulted from septicemia. The deceased was 26 years old. Beatrice Lacy was born in Independance February 28, 1906, the daughter of W. E. and Cora (Goodwin) Lacy. She was married to Mr. Roseborough at Ottawa December 15, 1930. The husband and the following brothers and sisters survive: William and G. C. Lacy, Mrs. E. Kaiser, Mrs. M. Russell and Miss Alta Jane Lacy, all of Ottawa; Mrs. S. Finch, Rantoul, and Miss Cory Lacy, Wellsville. The deceased came here four years ago from Independence. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the McVey Mortuary. Rev. John J. Gravesite Details
There is a mystery as to why the headstone reads "VE Beatrice Roseburry". We know for a fact that Beatrice married Walter T. Roseborough Dec. 15, 1930, and died two years later. VE probably references her infant daughter.
