MISS CORA L. LACY - Miss Cora L. Lacy, 114 S. Cedar, died today at 7:15 a.m. at her home. Her death from a heart ailment followed an illness of a week. She was 41. She was born Oct. 10, 1910, at Independence, Kas., but came to Ottawa as a small child. She was operator of a nursing home. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William E. Lacy, Ottawa; three sisters, Mrs. Joe Bittenbender, Ottawa; Mrs. Ray Pollet, Tipton, Ind.; and Mrs. Ralph Ekis, Hammond, Ind.; two brothers, Glen Lacy, Hammond, Ind.; and William Lacy, Tipton, Ind. Funeral services will be held at McVey - Dengel Mortuary Saturday at 4 p.m. Interment will be in Hope cemetery. - The Ottawa Herald, Ottawa, Kansas, January 24, 1952, page 7, column 5.
