Moody W. Rogers, 82, Marietta resident
Moody Washington Rogers, 82, of Marietta, died Friday.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Bob Shackelford officiating.
Mr. Rogers a native of Lauderdale County, Alabama, was employed by TVA for 38 years before retiring in 1975. He was an elder at Summerville Road Church of Christ for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Rogers of Marietta; daighter Faye Flack of Marietta; Son Robert W. Rogers of Fort Worth. Texas; seven sisters Daisy Peters, Florence, Al; Toye Murphy of Brandeberg, Ky; Vernette Arnold and Mary Esther Murphy both of Florence, Alabama; Annie White of Columbia, Tenn.; and Ruby Johnson of Florence, Alabama; two brothers, Huey Rogers of Florence, Alabama; and Burlon Rogers of Franklin, Tenn.; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 9- 10:30 a.m. Monday at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta.
