Mr. Edward Hickerson, 48, of 201 Carden Street in Campbellsville, formerly of the Acton Community in Taylor County, son of Mrs. Decie Sherrill Hickerson and the late Mr. Oscar E. Hickerson, was born in Green County, August 27, 1925. He died at 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 22, 1974, at the Taylor County Hospital. He had been a patient there for the past six weeks. He had professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Also, he was a member of the Elkhorn Masonic Lodge #568 F&AM. He united in marriage to Miss Elmer Tungate March 6, 1943. To this union two daughters were born. Besides his wife, surviving are: Mrs. Evalean White of Campbellsville, Route 2, and Mrs. Sharon Ann Perry of Troy, Ohio; three granddaughters and one grandson: Miss Angie White and Mr. Jonathan White, both of Campbellsville, Route 2, Miss Andrea Rea Perry and Miss Eva Luanne Perry, both of Troy, Ohio. He is also survived by his mother: Mrs. Decie Sherrill Hickerson of Campbellsville; one brother and two sisters: Mrs. Eyvonne Mardis of Louisville, Mr. Hollin Hickerson of Tucson, Arizona, Mrs. Bernice Shanklin of St. Petersburg, Florida; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home by Rev. James Fox, Rev. Gilbert Sapp, and Dr. D. L. Druien. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with full Masonic rites. Pallbearers: Stanley McCubbin, Bob Wise, Sam E.
