Mrs. Elmer Hickerson Gipson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Milton Tungate and Elnora Herron Tungate, was born November 18, 1922, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 4:50 P.M., Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 93
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Edward Hickerson and he preceded her in death July 22, 1974.
She united in marriage to Verbil Gipson October 8, 1982. He preceded her in death January 4, 2000.
She is survived by two daughters: Eva White and husband, Ralph of Campbellsville and Sharon Perry of Independence; four grandchildren: Angie Lyvers and husband, Pat of Hodgenville, Jon White and wife, Beverly of Elk Horn, Andrea Perry of Cincinnati, Ohio and Eva Luanne Sciscoe and husband, Paul of Independence; five great-grandchildren: Daniel Aug and Henry Aug of Cincinnati, Ohio and Annmarie Sciscoe, Elizabeth Sciscoe and Vincent Sciscoe of Independence; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters: Onie Tungate, Perry Tungate, Albert Tungate, Jesse Tungate, Janie Farmer, Mae Farmer, Olene Gaddis, Mandy Harden and Elsie Rae Whitley and a son-in-law, Lewis Perry.
