Clarence M. Hanson, 96, Indianapolis, passed away May 10, 2006. He was born in Roseau Co., MN on September 22, 1909. Clarence worked as a food manager for F. W. Woolworth & Company for 35 years, retiring in 1975. He was a World War II veteran serving on the USS Maryland. He was active in the Lawrence Lions Club for several years after retirement. Clarence ran the Lawrence Lions Club concession stand at Lawrence Park until he was in his early 90's. In his honor the concession stand was dedicated to him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Hanson. Survivors include his daughter, Joyce Blackwell; grandson, Jeffrey Scott Blackwell;grandaughter, Carey Lynn Love; nephew, Wallace Hanson; niece, Marge Gundlach and 3 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held on May 20th at the Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center - Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Good Shepherd Chapel. Burial was at the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens cemetery at Fishers, Hamilton Co., Indiana.
