Sheboygan Press, Thurs. Nov. 30, 1961, p. 14:4. Mrs. Katherine Bergs, 85, St. Cloud, died at 5:15 a.m. today at Rocky Knoll Sanatorium and Hospital where she had been a patient for the past three months. Born July 12, 1876, in St. Cloud, she was a daughter of the late Adrian and Christianna Herrlich Dreifuerst, and married Christ Bergs of St. Cloud on June 13, 1911. He died on Dec. 5, 1954. The couple farmed near St. Cloud. In 1956 she moved to the Boyle Nursing Home in Fond du Lac. Three months ago she was transferred to Rocky Knoll. Survivors are three sons, Joseph of Plymouth, Rupert of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Alfred of St. Cloud, and six grandchildren. Two brothers, four sisters and one son in infancy preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Cloud Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers Society of the church and the Third Order of St. Francis Society. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Lisowe Funeral Home in St. Cloud, 10 a.m. at St. Cloud Catholic Church. The Rev. Roman Stoffel, pastor, will be celebrant of the requiem mass and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
