He was born Sept 13, 1914 in St. Cloud, son of the late Christ Bergs and Catherine Dreifuerst. He farmed in the St. Cloud area and later was a salesman for feed supplies before retiring. He was never married. He was a member of St. Cloud Catholic Church in St. Cloud.
He is survived by two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Esther Bergs of Plymouth and Mrs. Jeanne Bergs Sheppelman of Gibson City, Ill., and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Following cremation, a memorial service was at St. Cloud Catholic Church. The Rev. Roger Zach pastor, officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
