Sheboygan Press, Mon. Dec. 6, 1954, p. 16:3. Christ Bergs, 79, of St. Cloud, a retired farmer, died at 4:20 a.m. Sunday at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac, following a lingering illness. A son of the late Joseph and Margaret Puepper Berg, he was born Jan. 25, 1875 at St. Cloud. He married the former Mary Konz of St. Ann, Oct. 25, 1896, at St. Joe. Following marriage the couple operated a farm near St. Joe. Mrs. Bergs died in 1909. On June 13, 1911 he was married again to Katherine Dreifuerst, also of St. Cloud. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Claudius Catholic Church, St. Cloud, and the Third Order of St. Francis. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Alfred at home, Joseph of Plymouth and Rupert of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons and one brother. Services will beheld at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Lisowe Funeral home, St. Cloud, and at 10 o'clock at St. Claudius Church. Father Koenen will be celebrant of the requiem mass, in the absence of the Rev. Roman Stoffel, pastor. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening.

Funeral services for Christ Bergs, who passed away at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac, on Sunday, were held at 9:30 a.m. at the Lisowe Funeral home, St. Cloud, and at 10 a.m. at St. Cloud Catholic Church. The Rev. T.A. Kohnen, CSSR, was celebrant of the requiem high mass and burial was made in the church cemetery. Members of the Holy Name society and the Third Order of St. Francis attended the services in a body. Pallbearers were Joseph Abler, Ervin Voelker, Joseph Wagner, Leo Greuel, Roy Schmitz, and Joseph Frischmann.
