"MARRIED 50 YEARS---Mr. and Mrs. Ernest F. Keilholtz of Rocky Ridge were honored last Sunday at anniversary celebration, the occasion marking their 50th wedding anniversary. Hosts for the affair held in the Rocky Ridge Fire Hall were their eight children. Some 180 guests attended, including the eight children and 21 grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Keilholtz were married November 9, 1907 by Rev. W. P. Poffenberger. At the anniversary celebration, a color scheme of gold, white and green was followed. A four-tier wedding cake centered the serving table. It was topped with a golden horseshoe and bells, ivy and gold-colored chrysanthemums were used in the color scheme. Many gifts were received. Guests attended from Philadelphia, York, Chambersburg, Littlestown, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; Dover, Delaware, Middletown, Hagerstown, Baltimore and this city. Their eight children are: Mrs. Morris (Dorothy) Knipple, York, Pennsylvania; Merle Keilholtz, Emmitsburg; Mrs. LeRoy (Novella) Dinterman, Graceham; Mrs. Wilmer (Anna) Law, Emmitsburg; Raymond Keilholtz, Emmitsburg; Vernon Keilholtz, Emmitsburg; Ralph Keilholtz, Rocky Ridge; Mrs. Charles (Hazel) Stonesifer, Keymar."

"Mrs. Edith Catherine Valentine Keilholtz, 68, Rocky Ridge, Maryland,widow of Ernest S. Harrison Keilholtz, died Thursday morning at 9 o'clock at the Springfield State Hospital, Springfield, Maryland. Born in Frederick County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Grayson H. and Alice A. Eiler Valentine. Her husband died suddenly a year ago while attending the Woodsboro Livestock Sale. She was a member of the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge, and the Willing Workers Society. Surviving are eight children: Mrs. Morris (Dorothy) Knipple, York; Mrs. Leroy (Novella) Dinterman, Thurmont; Mrs. Wilmer (Anna) Law, Emmitsburg; Mrs. Charles (Hazel) Stonesifer, Keymar; Merle, Raymond and Vernon, all of Emmitsburg, and Ralph L., Rocky Ridge. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and one brother, Ira Valentine, Hagerstown. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, with her pastor, the Rev. Donald Brake, officiating. She will lie in state from 12:30 until the service. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Creager Funeral Home, Thurmont, Friday evening after 7 o'clock."
