Maggie Cordelia Valentine was born September 27, 1875, in Rocky Ridge, Frederick County, Maryland, the daughter of Grayson Howard and Alice Amanda Eiler Valentine. On December 22, 1898, in Union Bridge, Carroll County, Maryland, she married Harry William Boone, son of Henry and Louise Yingling Boone. They were the parents of 3 children: Ruth Naomi, Roy Valentine and Helen Louise Boone. Maggie passed away on February 5, 1930, in Rocky Ridge, and was buried the 8th in Haugh's Church Cemetery, Ladiesburg, Frederick County, Maryland.

"Harry W. Boone, 23, of Johnsville, bachelor, and Maggie Cordelia Valentine, 23, of near Emmitsburg, maid. Married December 22, 1898, at Union Bridge, by Robert L. Patterson. License dated December 16, 1898."

"Mrs. Harry W. Boone. Maggie Cordelia Boone, wife of Harry W. Boone,died at her home, near Rocky Ridge, Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock of Bright's Disease after an illness of about eight years. She was aged 84 years, four months and nine days. She was a daughter of the late Grayson H. and Alice Valentine and is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. William H. Flickinger, near Rocky Ridge and Mrs. Elmer N. Delphy, Middleburg and one son, Roy V. Boone, at home. Two brothers, and one sister, Charles H. Valentine, near Four Points, CarrollCounty, Ira J. Valentine, Chester, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. E. F. Keilholtz, near Motter's Station, also survive. Funeral Saturday morning at the home at 10 o'clock with further services at Haugh's Church, Mt. Zion, conducted by Rev. P. H. Williams, pastor of the Union Bridge Lutheran Church, assisted by Rev. Dr. P. E. Heimer. Interment adjoining cemetery. Willhide and Creeger, funeral directors."
