Theodore M. "Dory" Schafer, 82, of 3644 Orth St., Bethlehem, died today in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill.
He had worked as a watchman for the former Transogram Co. of Easton, retiring in 1971. He was a former owner of Schafer Waste Paper Company in Easton, which closed in the 1940s. Most recently he had worked for the Willow Park Laundry, Bethlehem.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Henry and Alice Schafer. Mr. Schafer was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Farmersville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Schafer; a son, Theodore II, and a daughter, Mrs. Alice Hoadley.
