Eugene Boyer, 76, dies May 23rd at Syracuse hospital

Eugene Boyer, 76, of Oswego, formerly of Tupper Lake, died early Thursday morning, May 23, at Crouse Irving Hospital in Syracuse where he had been a patient only a couple of days.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Church, Oswego, on Saturday, May 25, and interment was in Riverside Cemetery in that city.

He was born in Malone on April 21, 1909, the son of Oscar Boyer and Mary Soulier Boyer. The family moved to Conifer in his childhood and later to Tupper Lake.

Mr. Boyer managed the A & P store here for several years, and was in the employ of the Metropolitan Insurance Co. for 25 years, until his retirement.

His marriage to Miss Alice Bouchard of this village ended in divorce.

Surviving, are two daughters, Denise McCauley of Oswego and Andre Van Curin of Plattsburgh; four sisters, Mrs. Florence Cote and Mrs. Natalie Bourdage, both of Tupper Lake; Mrs. Wilma Jasper of Freemont, California and Mrs. Helen Baird of Naperville, Illinois; and seven grandchildren.
