Florence Cote, 76, dies May 21st
Mrs. Florence L. Cote, 76, formerly of 167 Ivy Terrace, died Thursday night, May 21 at the Lake Placid Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since May 17th.
She was born at Malone on Dec. 12, 1910, daughter of Oscar and Marie Soulia Boyer, and had made her home in Tupper Lake since 1927.
A member of St. Alphonsus Church, she was active in the Ladies of St. Anne Society.
On January 19, 1931 she was married here to Louis Cote. Mr. Cote died on March 6, 1960.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Peters and Mrs. Shirley Gardner, both of San Leandro, California; one son, Donald Cote, Tupper Lake; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Surviving also are three sisters, Mrs. Wilma Jasper of Fremont, Cal., Mrs. Helen Baird of Naperville, Illinois and Mrs. Real (Natalie) Bourdage, Tupper Lake.
Funeral services were held Saturday at St. Alphonsus Church where Msgr. Edmund H. Dumas celebrated a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Interment was in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Tupper Lake Volunteer Emergency Squad.
Funeral arrangements were with the Richer Funeral Home.
