Nancy L. Shives, 66, of Bear, died Wednesday, April 28, 2004. Born in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Beatrice Truax Spade. She retired from Chrysler Corp. as an inspector. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Frank Shives; one daughter, Kathy L. Shives of Newark, Del.; one son, Marcus A. Shives of North East, Md.; four sisters, Viola Weigle, Elda Mertz, Georgia Deshong and Phyllis Thompson; four brothers, Bernard Spade, Delmar Spade, Arlie Spade and Jerald Spade; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Gebhart Funeral Home, New Castle, Del. Burial will be in North East United Methodist Cemetery, North East. Visitation will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
