Martha Kate (Snapp) Bellamy
Gate City – Mrs. Martha Kate Bellamy, 72, Gate City, Route 3, died Tuesday afternoon in Holston Valley Community Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Scott County and was a member of Chalybeate Springs Methodist Church.
Survivors include sons Edley, Gate City; Grady, Kingsport; Charles and Donnie Bellamy, both of Gate City; daughters, Mrs. Edward (Edna) Houseright and Mrs. Paul (Hazel) Winegar, Gate City, and Mrs. Tyler (Dot) Davidson, Jr., Annandale, Va.; brothers, Kelly, Gate City and Gilmer Snapp, Wilmington, Del.; sister, Mrs. Bessie Barnett, Gate City; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Warren Funeral Home in Webber City is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Funeral Services for Martha Kate Bellamy of Route 3, Gate City, Va. who died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Chalybeate Spring Methodist Church with the Rev. D. Trigg James, Rev. Carl Jones and Rev. Charles Lindholm officiating.
Interment will follow in the Holston View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be C.P. (Pat) Haynes, R.L. (Bob) Bellamy, Kyle Calhoun, Arthur Bellamy, Paul Grimm, Jimmy Haynes, Harry Moore and Lloyd Tate.
The family will receive friends at Warren Funeral Home from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday evening.
The body will be removed to the church one hour before services.
