She was born in Bennington on Dec. 9, 1922, the daughter of John Z. and Adeline (Breault) Morin, and received her education in local schools.
She married Thomas H. Ayer in 1940 in Bennington. Mr. Ayer died in 1999.
Mrs. Ayer was employed at Bijur Lubricating and also worked in the cafeteria of Mount Anthony Union High School.
She was a member of American Legion Post #110 Auxiliary in Port Charlotte, Fla., and Infant Saint Jesus Catholic Church in Lumberton, Texas.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Forbert of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In Bennington, a prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St., where friends may call from 9:30 a.m., followed by the Mass at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church and burial in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society Vermont Chapter, in care of Mahar and Son Funeral Home.
