Miss ALICE MORIN
The Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered at 11am Saturday at Sacred Heart Church for Miss Alice M. Morin, 56, of Westport, Conn., a native and former resident of Bennington, who died Sunday night after a long illness at the Rosary Hill House in Hawthorne, N.Y.
A prayer service at 10:30 at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home will precede the funeral Mass. Entombment will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery vault, pending burial in that cemetery in the spring.
She was born June 23, 1913 to John Z. and Adelina (Breault) Morin, received her education in the Bennington schools, and for many years owned and operated the Westport Smoke Shop. She leaves five sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Catherine Roberts, Mrs. Irene M. O'Grady, Mary Jane Morin and John D. Morin, all of Bennington; Mrs. Virginia Ayers of North Bennington; Gerard Morin Sr of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; Charles Morin of Schenectady; Mrs. Rita M. Cole of Meriden, Conn.; and John S. Morin of San Bernardino, Calif.; nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will be in attendance at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rosary Hill Home through the funeral home office.
