Mrs. JOHN Z. MORIN
Mrs. John Z. Morin, 84, of 133 Park St., the former Adeline Breault, who had been a resident here since 1905, died Saturday morning at Warner Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born at St. Sebastion, P.Q., Canada, June 21, 1880, she had attended schools in Canada. She was married to John Z. Morin June 11, 1901 at St. Sebastion and they came to the states in 1905.
Mrs. Morin had been prominent in French circles and was well-known in the community. A devout member of Sacred Heart Church, she had been president of St. Anne Society for 20 years and secretary-treasurer of St. Jean Baptist Society for about 35 years. Her home and family had been her chief interests.
Survivors are her husband; six daughters, Mrs. Catherine Roberts of Schenectady, N.Y.; Mrs. Cornelius (Irene) O'Grady of Norwalk, Conn.; Miss Alice Morin of Westport, Conn.; Miss Mary Jane Morin of Bennington; Mrs. Robert (Rita) Cole of Meriden, Conn.; Mrs. Thomas (Virginia) Ayer of Bennington; six sons, John S. Morin of San Bernardino, Calif.; Gerard J. Morin Sr. of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; George (Jade) Morin of Bennington; Richard of Schenectady; John D. of Bennington and Charles J. of Schenectady. Twenty-seven grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews are also left.
The funeral was held this morning in Sacred Heart Church with a Requiem High Mass, preceded by a prayer at Mahar & Son Funeral Home. Entombment was in Park Lawn chapel and burial will be in that cemetery in the spring.
